In this step we will get dark, so that we can eventually shine even brighter, as cliche as that sounds.

You’ll reverse your perspective on life by asking yourself questions like “What do I want to be remembered as?”, “What will my funeral look like? What will people say about me as I lie on my deathbed?”

From here, we’ll dive deep into your heart and soul and unearth what your huge “Why” statement in life is, “Why do you do what you do in your life?” Whether it’s your career or the gift you give to the world before you leave.

We’ll write out what your huge mission in life is. This will provide you with clear, cut precision on how you’ll navigate yourself through the world.

Most of us live on AUTOPILOT, not truly aware of what our self-destructive behaviors are.

First off, you might be thinking…”Why is his last name, Kreider? Isn’t he asian, that’s not an asian last name.”

 That’s where the journey starts…

 At age 3, I was adopted into a German and Irish family (I’m Korean), I immediately felt like I was different and felt out of place.

 Going to school was a nightmare, I was always made fun of and viciously bullied for being asian, hearing things like “ching-chong”, “chinaman”, and “bruce lee” all the time.

 I felt like there was something wrong with being an asian guy.

 In 6th grade, a white girl rejected me when she said “I’m not into asian guys.”

 That immediately sank my heart.

 So in 7th grade I tried asking out asian girls. Still rejected.

 Girls just didn’t like me. I thought I was ugly and felt unattractive to girls.

 These traumatic experiences made me shy and introverted, so I developed a fear of people.

 BUT, despite all the bullying and rejections…

 It didn’t stop me from actively finding ways to increase my confidence, self esteem and sex appeal. (INSERT A PIC OF YOU DOING SOMETHING RELATED TO IMPROVING YOUR CONFIDENCE AND SEX APPEAL)

 Fast forward to college, I started bodybuilding and the results spoke for themselves…

 As my body started to get more muscular, girls started giving me attention and showing interest.

 Saying things like “I didn’t know they made asian guys like you.”

 My confidence started skyrocketing.

 It wasn’t until I was 21 years old and started working at 12th Street Gym, Philadelphia’s premiere gay gym at the time. (I also got my first girlfriend around this time.)

 Here at Philadelphia’s premiere gay gym, I finally started to embrace my identity as an Asian guy as I connected with other people who felt like they were social outcasts and that they “just didn’t fit in with the regular crowds.”

 My confidence improved as I trained my body, developed my own unique style, and learned the important social skills that allowed me to be more certain about my self-image.

 From then on, I was comfortable in my own skin and my confidence allowed me to:

 Became a Natural Pro Bodybuilder…

 Start my international modeling career in New York City at the age of 25, signing with some of the world’s largest modeling agencies such as Ford and Wilhelmina..

 Go to Meisner Acting School, pursuing acting for 2 years in New York City, and even gone on Men’s Health Magazine and contributed to their “Big Book of Exercise”…

 I thought I had “made it” but throughout all those years, my insecurities were still controlling my behaviors so I struggled with drug and alcohol addiction to cope with my insecurities.

 It all caught up to me and in December 2012, I developed depression and lost my hair from a condition called “Alopecia areata” (stress-induced hair loss)

This was my breaking point so I looked deep down within myself and knew a MASSIVE shift HAD to happen.

I started getting back into fitness, modelling, studying NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), and joined a 12-Step Program of Recovery, of which I am currently 3 years sober as of right now.

I was a shy, introverted, skinny Korean adopted kid growing up in Philadelphia, to an international model, lifestyle coach who focuses on helping clients with their personal growth, and fitness expert being featured in various magazines and articles such as the Huffington Post and the Men’s Health Big Book of Exercise.

I immediately felt like I was different and felt out of place growing up and remember wanting to be anything but Asian. I grew up with a ton of self-hatred and inferiority complexes. I was always made fun and bullied for being Asian, hearing things like “ching-chong,” “chinaman,” and “bruce lee” all the time.

I was rejected by girls because I was Asian, and even by Asian girls, so I developed a fear of people. I started to get into changing my body from skinny to winning natural bodybuilding competitions, deciding to take actions and my destiny into my own hands. I worked hard and tried everything I read to get the body I always dreamt of, and this was before all these great online educational platforms.

I became a trainer to a future model named Parker Hurley, a good friend of mine and he was named People’s Magazine’s sexiest model of the year in 2014, but before that, I was in Men’s Health Magazine, and we both encouraged each other in our modeling careers. I decided I wanted to become a fitness model, and also dropped a few pounds of muscle to fit into clothes, giving up bodybuilding for a while.

After a few years in NYC, fighting the stigmatism of Asian men in fitness at the time (because many Asians believed that it was a white western thing and that we were being whitewashed), I wasn’t booking jobs, was depressed, anxious, broke, and turned to drugs and alcohol to numb the pain and emotions.

It was all too much, and in 2012, I lost most of my hair from a condition called “Alopecia Areata” an autoimmune disease that gets triggered through stress, and you lose your hair. I was defeated and lost my identity. I then decided to skateboard across America, trying to find a soul searching experience, and found none… then I stayed in Philadelphia after getting kicked out of the house by my dad and owed him money, and credit card company 15k plus, and decided to get back into health, fitness, and sobriety.

This changed my life forever and I was able to get a start booking modeling jobs more consistently, get out of debt, build an online presence and brand, to help other’s who felt like I felt, to get past their challenges through a more mindful fitness approach using steps I’ve learned through sobriety, nutritional wellness, and my life experiences.
