Intermittent Fasting when you workout in the morning like Logan – Hugh Jackman

I want to discuss how to do intermittent fasting when you work out in the morning and get the physique of Logan, Hugh Jackman.

He has the incredible physique of Wolverine, which he was able to sustain for 17 years.

Hugh Jackman usually sticks with the 16/8 proposal of Intermittent Fasting.

16 hours of fasting followed by an 8-hour feeding window. In the past, Hugh Jackman trained at 8 a.m and broke his fast at 10 a.m., leaving his feeding window until 6 p.m.  He has black coffee before he trains.
Now some people workout earlier, around 6 a.m

What you could do is train and then fast for a few hours until 10 a.m.

If you are hungry, I recommend having a serving of BCAA’s an hour after you finish your workout and a fruit snack an hour after your BCAA’s.

The BCAA’s have Leucine, which is anabolic, and there is a debate that it will tell your brain that you are fed and ruin the fast.

The point of IF at this stage is to be able to push your first meal back so you can eat a larger meal of what you prefer, so you don’t feel deprived while dieting. Skipping breakfast allows you the flexibility to eat a not-so-clean meal all the time.

You can enjoy a more calorically dense meal like a burger with fries.
You might be wondering about the anabolic window and post workout meal to get nutrients to your body within an hour of working out.

The anxiety and extra effort of the anabolic window can make you fearful because your thought is, “if I don’t have carbohydrates and a post workout meal, then my body won’t grow and recover.”

There is an anabolic window, but it’s more important for collegiate athletes, elite physique competitors, or any actors and models looking to get every bit of edge to their body composition.

The extra effort will not make a noticeable long-term difference.

Your body is a recovering, survival, machine. As long as you have a meal within 3-12 hours, you will be just fine.

6 p.m, might be too soon to eat dinner. You may want to adjust your last meal to family and business dinners.

What you could do is train and then fast until lunch at noon. You could have a cup of black coffee or tea post workout to blunt the appetite and have a piece of fruit an hour or two after your coffee.

This strategy allows you to have your last meal at 8 p.m. and fit your lifestyle.

Adjust the first meal to when you want to have your last meal of the day.

Now nothing is stopping you from getting that leading male look at any age or working out anytime. That’s my last words of inspiration to get you to give Intermittent Fasting a try.

Did that work for you?
